Our Procurement Process is designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and efficiency. From supplier pre-qualification to final contract award, we follow a structured approach that includes but not limited to:

STEP 1
Supplier Pre-Qualification

The process of assessing and evaluating potential suppliers before formally inviting them to participate in a competitive bidding or tendering process.

STEP 2
Soliciting of Bids/Offers

The formal process of inviting suppliers or vendors to submit competitive proposals to fulfil the organization’s needs for goods, services, or works.

STEP 3
Evaluation and Selection

The process of assessing bids or proposals received from suppliers and choosing the most suitable supplier(s) to fulfil the organization’s requirements.

STEP 4
Contract Management & Performance Monitoring

Contributes to achieving the desired outcomes from procurement activities, optimizing supplier relationships, and mitigating risks associated with contract execution. It supports organizational goals by ensuring that suppliers deliver value and meet expectations throughout the duration of the contract.

Business Ethics

Vendors and subcontractors are expected to maintain the highest degree of business ethics when working with or on behalf of Unipet. Vendors and subcontractors must comply with all relevant local and international legislation, regulatory requirements and applicable standards.

Transparency of Information Provision

Vendors shall not be involved in any fraudulent activities, misrepresent information or facts for the purpose of influencing the selection and contract awarding process in their favor.

Fair Competition

Vendors shall not be involved in any corrupt, collusive, or coercive practices.

Human Rights

Vendors shall not engage in any form of forced or underage labor. Vendors shall provide a safe and healthy workplace environment for all its employees and comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of Trinidad and Tobago and all international laws, where applicable.

Environment

All vendors should undertake a precautionary approach to environmental concerns. Where applicable, vendors should undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility.
