Rene Luces-Whiteman is a distinguished leader in logistics and the petrochemical industries, with over 18 years of experience in logistics, operations, quality, health, safety, security, and environmental (QHSSE) management. Renowned for her hands-on approach and technical proficiency, Rene drives organizations toward industry leadership through regulatory adherence and strategic policy implementation.
Rene began her tenure at Unipet in November 2020, where she has played pivotal roles, including refining the HSSE Management System to meet international standards, developing a progressive petrochemical product distribution strategy, and leading the company to achieve extended STOW high-risk recertification. Her efforts have been instrumental in enhancing Unipet’s operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Prior to Unipet, Rene devoted 14 years to the Downstream Oil and Gas Industry, progressing through key positions such as HSEQ Manager and Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager. In her previous roles, she secured multiple ISO certifications, reduced ISO non-conformists, and led successful HSSE initiatives and client performance plans.
Rene holds an MBA from the University of South Wales and a BSc in Information Technology and Business from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY. Committed to continuous professional development, she is pursuing an NVQ Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Health and Safety Leadership and Management. Rene also holds multiple certifications, including CQI/IRCA Principal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, and IRCA Lead Auditor for ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
