In accordance with the targets set forth by the Paris Agreement, we at Unipet recognized that renewables are on the verge of becoming an integral part of future energy needs. Utilizing our now rebranded Brentwood Energy Center location as our starting point, we conducted research and considered a number of initiatives.
However, with the increasing availability of fully electric and hybrid vehicles locally, we recognized that customers would require easier access to EV charging stations and associated infrastructure, thereby instilling greater comfort and confidence in their widespread adoption and daily use.
Unipet also recognized the need to reduce the company’s own energy consumption and implemented an onsite photovoltaic (PV) system, which now provides power to its fuel dispensers, thus moving further in their goal towards achieving a net-zero status for the EV Charging station.
These and other planned initiatives in the company’s pipeline are part of a focused long-term strategy seeking to reposition Unipet in the market as one of the leading energy suppliers, rather than a fuel supplier.
